Your BIRTH-Day!

September 24th was your BIRTH-Day! We were up and out the door before seven heading to the hospital. Grandmama came over to take Turner to school. Turner was SUPER excited that morning knowing he was meeting you today! The day could not have been more perfect. You were a little more high maintenance while I was pregnant with you than with your brother. Just a few things- I had to go to the hospital on two separate unplanned times due to DR concerned about certain things. Both times it all came back perfectly fine. One of them I fainted at home! I think I just sat too long. You were very active from 8pm-midnight most of the time, so I couldn't get to sleep until then. Each visit to DR you always had a strong heartbeat and measuring right on schedule.

Back to your day!

Grandpapa arrived shortly after we were there. He couldn't wait any longer to wait some more. The rest of the fam started to trickle in as the day approaches. Dr. Birch said you would delivery quickly...and she was right! You were born at 1:41 pm, weighing 6 lbs. 11 oz and 19 inches long. You were beautiful and I loved that day! Below are the pictures that capture your day. To keep tradition alive, your Aunt Lillipop was in the room videoing and taking pictures. She said when I was halfway pushing, I looked at her and asked her to be sure and take some still shots of it all :). You will come to realize your momma loves the camera! The family couldn't wait to meet you!

Let me explain your wonderful family! We call them the village because we are so blessed to have such wonderful family on both sides! You will come to find out very soon how lucky you are on the wonderful grandparents and aunts and uncles you have. You had a waiting room filled with grandparents anxiously awaiting your arrival, an Aunt Lillipop who took video and pictures through it all, Aunt Nat who took a 1/2 day off because she just couldn't miss it and then an Unk who hung with your Bro all day and had a sleepover..and many others who couldn't wait to meet you!

Technology these days..this is the monitor that shows us my contractions and such. After a period of time, it closes down. This is the entertainment while we wait, so Daddy was on mouse alert in order for it not to shut down. But don't worry! After awhile I was feeling those contractions without seeing that monitor and I knew it was time.

Some needed some shut eye before the big arrival!

Turner was SUPER excited and entertained the family while waiting.

IS she here?!?! IS she here?!?!

What an exciting morning!
